How do I send my Presenter presentation to others?
In order to run a Presenter presentation on a computer, that computer must have some version of Presenter, FXShow, or the 3D FXD Player running. To transfer your presentation along with all supporting assets (themes, logos, video files, etc) to another system, we recommend you publish an FXPresentation (.FXP file). The FXP file can then be installed on any system running Presenter or FXShow. Similarly, if you publish to an FXD file you can run the presentation on any system with our free 3D FXD Player installed. You can also send your PowerPoint file to anyone. It will run normally in PowerPoint (but without any of the benefits offered by Presenter).
Can I create a PowerPoint version of my presentation that looks like it does in Presenter?
Yes. In Presenter use the options to "Create PowerPoint Backgrounds". It will take a picture of whatever FXTheme and Variation you've selected and place that on the PowerPoint background. That will allow you to create handouts that look like your presentation and to send your PowerPoint file to others who don't have Presenter or FXShow.
Can I use hyperlinks in Presenter?
Yes. You can link to other slides and to websites. You cannot link to other PowerPoint files.
Why does my text change positions when I go from PowerPoint to Presenter in some FXThemes and not in others?
Presenter is a full time 3D application. It extracts your 2D PowerPoint content and puts that into its own 3D scene. In certain themes, that scene is designed to fit in with other 3D design components. It may be viewed at an angle (as in File Folders) or need to fit onto a content plane (as in The Core). In those cases your PowerPoint content change positions slightly when you go between PowerPoint and Presenter. In most FXThemes this design consideration is not necessary and your content will be sized and positioned in Presenter exactly as it is in PowerPoint.
How do I get more color control for my text?
In Options / Colors you have the option to allow either the FXTheme or PowerPoint to control colors for all varieties of content. There are 3 classes of text. Those are title text (any text with no bullet in front of it and no shape behind it), bulleted text (any text with a bullet in front of it), and shape text (any text with a fill color behind it or shape outline around it).
Can I use video backgrounds with Presenter?
Yes. Add a Video Insert Scene to all slides of a presentation and push that Video Insert Scene behind the PowerPoint content. Here are the steps.
  1. Add the Standard Default Video Insert scene to any slide, select the video you want to play in the background, and make sure that video insert is set to Play Continuously.
  2. Maximize the Video Insert Scene so that it takes up the full screen.
  3. Uncheck the "Interactive" option so the insert scene will not respond to mouse clicks.
  4. Select the “Place Behind PowerPoint Content” option.
  5. Assign to All slides.
You now have a video playing behind all the slides in your presentation. It will cycle continuously, right through transitions. (In PowerPoint the stand in image for the video will be displayed in front of your content. Select the image and use the PowerPoint Draw / Order / Send to Back tool to display it behind that content.)

Alternatively, you may want to use the one of the Video Background Themes available for download here.

Can I include Japanese and Chinese characters in my presentation?
Yes, but you must use fonts that support double byte characters.
Can I use languages (like Arabic and Hebrew) where text flows right-to-left?
Presenter supports this option when Bitmap Text is enabled in the Prefs page of the main FXEdit screen. Since there are some additional constraints imposed by bitmap text, we recommend you test this out during the trial/evaluation phase to make sure it will meet all your needs.
