Do I need special hardware?
No, Presenter works with most of today’s systems, but performance can vary based on the graphics capabilities available. See
System Requirements for complete details.
However, to get the most out of 3D Presenter or S3D Presenter, you will benefit from having a stereo 3D capable display device (3D TV, 3D monitor, or 3D projection system), and to get the most from Event Presenter, you will probably want a live video capture card from BlackMagic Design/Viewcast/Datapath and/or a multi-monitor or multi-projector display rig.
How much does it cost?
Instant Effects Presenter and 3D Presenter start at $995. S3D Presenter, Event Presenter and Master Presenter are available in various sale and lease options, depending on support requirements. For more information see
Pricing
Can I install Presenter on a second computer?
All versions of Presenter are available with licensing enabled via a dongle. The data in the license dongle will turn our free trial software into a fully licensed system, so it is very easy to install Presenter on multiple systems and move your license around as needed.
Instant Effects Presenter and 3D Presenter can also be licensed in node-locked (computer -specific) fashion. This eliminates the need for a dongle, but then the license is completely tied to a single machine.
Can I export my presentation to a video?
Yes, all versions of Presenter except 3D Presenter allow you to export your presentation to the AVI video format.
Can I obtain or make my own looks?
Can I play a Presenter presentation on any computer?
Yes & No. You can export your presentation to the FXD file format and play it on any system that runs our Free 3D FXD Player. However you will not be able to edit the content. In order to play full presentations as well as edit the PowerPoint content, the computer will need either a copy of Instant Effects Presenter, or an FXShow License.
The free 3D FXD Player supports stereoscopic output for an additional fee. It does not support features specific to Event Presenter (i.e. it does not support live video input, or muti-projector edge blending). If you need these features in a player / runtime-only configuration, please contact us so that we can discuss your requirements in detail.
How do I distribute my presentations?
Most Presenter data is stored right in the PowerPoint file. To facilitate distributing additional assets (such as FXThemes, custom 3D logos, video files, etc), Presenter can bundle everything together with the PowerPoint file in a convenient FXPresentation redistributable package.
